I just received the diagnosis to have genital herpes from my gyn for the first time. I felt some pain for 2-3 days, today it became almost unbearable so I went to the doc on short notice. I got the necessary medicine now but still feel very bad/sad. Never had any STI before…
1) I got it from someone I recently had sex with. There are to men (met both last weekend) – Should I inform them?
2) What about future sexual partners? I am single and sexually very open. Do I need to tell everyone before that I once had this?
3) I seriously could cry. Please share any advice on how to avoid outbreaks in the future and other STIs (except for using condoms which I of course do).
