A friend of mine was telling me the other day he’s looking at a brand new Ford Focus, but now it seems odd to him – £27,000 for a 1.0-litre mid-size car, he said you can’t even get anything with a big 2.0 size like he used to buy. He said it’s a far cry from 10-15 years ago when you had reasonably priced entry-level versions for £15,000.
He doesn’t mind a hybrid but said £27k is a lot for something that’s a family car and he needs a good family car for £15,000-£18,000.

Anyone got any other examples of things that seem rip-offs now compared to 10-15 years ago?
