I have been diagnosed with ASS about 10 years ago and right now doing better socially than ever before. One thing I still hugely struggle with is interpreting nonverbal cues from others because I simply lack the inate understanding that most neurotypical people seem to have.

I often miss facial expressions either completely or understand them only in retrospect, which is something that bothers me, especially if others rely on them to express (dis)approval in a conversation, which ends up with them being annoyed or disinterested 🙁

Also I often find few things to talk about, mainly because I often overfocus on something thats currently on my mind and keep a topic for too long. I realize this more often now but then I dont really know how to “improvise” in that situation…

Can some of you offer me some general advice on how to train such skills in regards to something like a app, a book, a video series or something else for learning everyday?
