Hey! I(23F) sort of have a question about sterile, infertile and pregnancy.

Recently I learned the difference between ‘sterile’ and ‘infertile’

If I’m correct:

When a woman is infertile, she is still able to get children. It may be unlikely but there’s a chance although that also includes the chance that the kid will have some sort of disorder(? Sorry English isn’t my first language, may be a different word)
Also Infertility is not a choice.

When a woman is sterile, she isn’t able to get pregnant anymore. Because the doctor literally snip-snapped that part.
Which mean sterilisation is a choice.

And I just wanted to be sure I understand that correctly?

But I also want to understand something else, as that topic was very interesting to me because I was thinking to get sterilised for personal reasons.

I mean a woman can get pregnant from, the semen/cum a man leaves in her. But if this woman is Sterile? That’s not possible right?.. like if somebody were to cum into a sterile woman. She has no chance of getting pregnant right?

Also is it possible to be both? Like be infertile and then just get sterilised? Is that possible?

Thank you for everyone who takes the time to read and answer!
