Do adults in your region “hang out”? Socialise in settings where they interact with close friends and acquaintances alike? Or do people over 25 generally spend time at home with their partner with occasional planned “catch-ups”?

I (a guy in early 30s) noticed that I prefer spontaneous hanging out and generally being around people, both close friends but also settings where I can interact with acquaintances and strangers. On the other hand I’m noticing most people around me seem to prefer to spend most of their time on just being cozy at home. I know people’s priorities change with age but I also started wondering to what extent this might be a regional cultural difference.
