I already know and am working on making friends in real life (just kind of hard because I do not have a car so I usually just get rides, but I am still going to make friends for the summer hopefully through apps like Bumble or something like that and in general besides Bumble, I know making friends in real life is usually through a shared interest where you can meetup whether it’s volunteering, gaming, etc.).
But I’ve noticed that making friends online is kind of.. difficult? A lot of the people I’ve came across either just want to keep it professional if we are collaborating (my work is from home that I am starting and I do participate in clubs that are online for school which is kind of fun because my college is online.. but you obviously can’t really get too “deep” into things because the main point is networking so you really can’t get that close), and I’ve had other online friends lie about their age, gender, etc. or they get romantically interested in me in some way.
I have a good sense of humor, and tons of interests and hobbies, am 420 friendly, love animals, and a lot of my interests are more “nerdy” – I enjoy Star Trek, Star Wars, video games like roblox, gta, etc. and I enjoy drawing, writing, and volunteering, and I like other shows such as The IT Crowd, Snuff Box, Key & Peele, Jerry Springer, and of course I also enjoy Pokemon (visiting Japan would be really cool one day), and I also enjoy electronics and computers since that’s the field that I am in and I like reading graphic novels, self-help books, true crime books, and philosophy books, and I love horror (so basically anything that’s nerdy or where I am learning and being creative lol), I am also neurodivergent (ADHD), and I deal with chronic illness so I can relate to anyone that deals with those struggles too, and for sports and music I forgot to add that I enjoy country/rock with bands/artists such as Slipknot, Radiohead, George Jones, Jimmy Buffett, Pink Floyd, etc. and for sports I like wrestling, hockey, and skateboarding.
Anyway that’s a little (a lot lol) about me, and any help would be great thanks in advance.
