Hi. I have been with my lovely girlfriend for close to two years. I am a typical football mad British boy, my gf is understanding of this and often watches the matches with me. Recently a friend of ours was over at out place watching a match with use and made a comment like “isn’t that one the girl you hooked up with that time?” my girlfriend was clearly taken aback and I was surprised because I thought I told her this. I was not trying to keep secrets from her she knows about every girl I have ever slept with. After some discussion it seems what happened is I said something like “this girl I hooked up with a couple of times just before uni is a pro footballer now” but it seems I accidently didn’t make it clear she plays for the club I love. She has made it clear she thinks me continuing to watch with her in the team is disrespectful. I get where she’s coming from but it honestly has nothing to do with that, I would watch the team weather she was there or not. We are at a stalemate on this. Any suggestions on a solution?
TL;DR- My girlfriend just found out I had slept with one of the players of the football team I support and now wants me to stop watching the matches. We are at an impass
