I am traveling internationally with my family this summer and was curious what a reasonable amount of communication is with my boyfriend when I’m away.

We’ve been dating for over 2 years and my boyfriend struggles with distance/ going chunks of time without properly catching up. In the past, this has proven to be an issue, where he wanted a lot of time to talk to me when I am away, leading to an unhealthy dynamic at times. We’ve done a lot better with this (especially considering we’re somewhat long distance on a regular basis) and really hope this trip is healthy for both of us.

He was thinking some texts daily and 2 calls during our trip. My concern is that I’m sharing a room with someone, so I’d have to find someplace else to call, but it sounds fairly reasonable. He really is my favourite person to talk to. I just want a second opinion that this isn’t too much calling because I’m paranoid due to the unhealthy dynamics in the past.

TLDR: Is expecting daily texting and two calls in a 10 day trip a healthy amount of communication when I’m traveling away from my boyfriend?
