She mentioned needing a break after dating for a month, and as my co-worker of over 6 months (yes, I know it’s risky), we work together 3-4 days a week.

I’ve been supportive, helping her move from her narcissistic ex, assisting with furniture, and letting her stay with me for 7 days until she found a new place. She even made plans with me 3 months in advance. Suddenly, she says she needs time alone due to her busy life: her alcoholic mother, violent stepfather, selling her old house with the ex, and getting medication for her ADHD.

Should I just accept her need for space, or is it time to move on? I’m deeply in love, and everything has been going well. She’s reassured me during our time together, saying she loves how I treat her and that I’m a good man

She also took out 4 weeks in June and september to come hiking with me and told me several times how she looked forward to go with me in vacation.

Me: I’ll wait if you plan on hanging out again after your alone time.
Her: Yes, but I need some space right now.

I’m 30, she’s 26.

TL;DR: My co-worker and I have been dating for a month, but she suddenly needs space due to a hectic life with family issues and ADHD medication. Despite our great relationship, I’m wondering if I should wait for her or move on.
