I heard that the housing crisis is affecting all the US, is there any answer by the federal government about it?

  1. Housing isn’t really something the federal government gets involved in much. State or local governments are more responsible for that.

  2. The housing crisis is too varied to be a fed issue. It needs to be handled by local governments.

  3. Speculative landlords and unethical banks cause the housing crisis. Unfortunately there is no federal solution, and most state and local pols seem too enamored of all that greasy developer cash they keep getting.

  4. Def not a federal issue. Highly dependent on location, what the state or even city/county gov is doing to address their specific housing issues.

  5. About the same as most countries.

    Fuck all.

At least in the US there’s still some sort of affordable states you can move to. Some countries have small populations, and even rural areas are unaffordable and have zero infrastructure, and worse, there’s no jobs at all in rural areas.

In the US there’s usually at least some.

  6. The federal government is too busy trying to give tens of billions of more dollars to Ukraine. Nothing to see here

  7. For everyone saying the federal government doesn’t have a role, FHA requirements are part of what got us into this mess.

  8. Mostly just making it worse by printing trillions of dollars to cause inflation.
