My best friend, who I had for years, and I have the most fun with drinking, suddenly doesnt want to drink with me, he does want to come and hang out but he doesnt want to drink. Of coarse on this specific occasion.
He wants to drive us to the event with his car, but it isnt far and we can easily get there walking or taking the bus. I have a feeling that isnt the actual reason he doesnt want to drink.
I don’t get it, I find it insulting.
Look I know people are gonna say I’m the bad friend or something, but he isnt a person that doesnt drink often and I know this isnt because he is trying to be healthy or something. He genuienly wants to sacrifice an entire night out filled with fun for 5min road time. And I know he wont have fun sober, he never does, he stands silently and having a smirky grin that just feels like he’s belittling me whenever I say something stupid that onky a drunk person would love to react to.
