I matched with a girl on Hinge a few days ago and the conversation was flowing considerably better than it usually does. Yesterday evening we were messaging back and forth and after I was preoccupied with something else for about 15 minutes I looked at a couple of notifications that she’d messaged me, the last one of which was a phone number.
Naturally, I opened the app to check what she’d said and it turned out that she’d decided that was all the time I needed and had deleted the chat and since Hinge doesn’t backup anything from deleted chats and Iphones don’t keep notifications once you open the app, I now have absolutely no way of contacting her.
Fucking hell. That was the first match I’ve had that actually seemed remotely interested in over a month.
