Me (26F) and my husband (25M) got married a few months ago. We moved in together and I have taken on the role of cooking for both of us every week. I try to plan meals on the weekend so we don’t have to go to the store everyday. (If it were up to him, we would wait until 7pm to decide what we are having for dinner each day and then go grocery shopping that night, which leads to us having dinner at 9:30-10pm)
Today as I was trying to meal plan, I asked him what he wanted this week, as I do every week. He says “I don’t know” and we go back & forth/blah blah. Eventually he says “I’ve been alive for 24 yrs, you think I can’t figure out something to eat?”
Now I’m pissed off. I cook for him as an act of service & he knows that. We have had conversations about that before. He is very mature & emotionally intelligent. We have a great love life and I’m just honestly hurt and confused as to why he is being an asshole about this. Should I just stop trying to cook for him? Is this a normal response?
