What’s the difference between a man who is telling you about his successes, positive traits, etc., and when a man is bragging, full of himself?

I like it when a man feels good about himself and appreciates himself. I enjoy watching a man be proud of himself, it feels good for me. Sometimes it’s hard for me to read the difference between that and someone that’s just telling me how great they are because they are way too impressed with themself. (I find that off putting). I tend to not tell people about my accomplishments/positive qualities and think they will figure it out on their own or not. I think this just might be a natural gender difference but what are your thoughts? Thank you.
