The question is pretty much in the title. But, bit of back story: I (f40) was offered a ring by my now husband (m42). It was his gift/surprise right before our wedding (religious one). He offered me a ring that was too small, despite me giving him my ring size.

We had had a massive argument about that ring, how he got to buy it etc.. Im not going into details, but today i learnt that his therapist (woman) apparently said that why I don’t wear it, and even if it is too small, i should have done something about it and resize it myself.

(we live in distance so he gave me the ring, we got married and we remain in distance).

So, i think, as a woman myself, that no woman would ever said something like this.

And now, i wish to know wise men opinion: would you buy a ring to a woman, too small, not being prepared in the moment of buying a ring (not having the note with my size with him), using your pinky as a measurement, and being upset at me about “not appreciating ” the ring and about not wearing it.

Thanks in advance
