So I am turning 30 this July black male born and raised in Ohio but live in Texas , and I have to unfortunately go through a chapter 7 bankruptcy to reset my credit and be eligible to get a home in 2026 the earliest so I can stop renting.

Having said that I make over 60k a year and I have no kids no assets right now and a good career and education but my financial situation is pretty bad no savings no stocks 60k in student loans and the bankruptcy that is still in progress for me.

My question is when the two years are up and my credit has rebounded and fixed from discharging a lot of debt and I have ample savings and progressing with my career would I be suitable to be able to find a woman who I really like and see a future with to marry her or do I need to make 6 figures to be able to marry a woman in the US if she wants kids and to afford a mortgage and her etc?

I don’t know what’s the number or the salary or financial benefit or personal reason to be married in the US due to a lot of horror stories of men losing they’re stuff and being left alone and the kids being taken from them it’s giving me bad anxiety about even thinking about marriage. I been single for two years now and I had horrible experiences with dating US women and the amount of ghosting, games, manipulation, taking advantage and bullying has made seek therapy for these transgressions.

But I do want to marry one day and find my someone but I just want to know from experienced married men and women if it’s worth still getting married in todays world and advice and suggestions would be ideal.
