I (22M) am in a unique situation in life, being an immigrant student in a European country, completing a degree which is still 4.5 years away. At the same time, I’ve found a very promising startup idea by talking to basically a lot of people who were facing a common problem, and I’ve already programmed the first version of my product. However, I can’t sell it legally while being a foreign student, which means I’ll have to drop out to start a company.

Problem is though, I’ve never taken risks in my life, which is why I can’t give a good judgement of what to do. If I choose to drop out and 3 years down the line the business fails, then I’m left for nowhere. But I also can’t sit back and wait for another 4.5 years before completing my degree, I’m just too impatient for that.

Don’t know why I’m asking here though. Probably because my dad passed away when I was 11, so never had that sort of guidance. Would be great to hear what y’all think.
