In your opinion, what are the core American values? What do Americans tend to value the most in their lives?

The US is a very diverse country, but perhaps they are some values that are shared by most of Americans?

Maybe it is freedom/autonomy/independence and democracy or being a hard-worker/go-getter.

Or maybe something else?
