A few months ago we adopted 2 cats together, now she wants to break up and keep our cats. We both feed them, we both clean their shit, we both do everything. I spend more time with them actually since she works a lot, which isn’t her fault, but still. She paid the $10 adoption fee for each of them (so $20) and says this means they’re her cats and I have zero argument to keep them. And it’s not like she’s staying in our apartment where they’re comfortable living now, she wants to move in with her mom. Does the fact that she paid 20 bucks for them really end any chance of me keeping them?
