I am a very ugly woman and I have always held out hope that I would find a man to whom outer beauty was entirely irrelevant. I have never found this and I have never had a long term relationship. At 39 I am starting to believe that it will never happen to me; if I couldn’t find it when I was in my 20s and 30s when everyone was young and single and looking and social, why would I find it now, in my 40s, when most people are already taken? And I have to compete with younger women as well. Sigh. Thoughts?
