Hey all so I need some advice on this. My (24M) current girlfriend (23F) of a few months was raped when she was 19 and the story is really fucking sad. Basically it was by someone older that she didn’t know who took advantage of her. When we first started dating she said she couldn’t have sex because it would make her cry. However, slowly we’ve been starting to have careful sex and she’s opening up to me. But ever since she told me the story as to why I’ve been just devastated it makes me sad that such a thing could happen to her. She’s had some time to process her grief, but every now and then I can tell she’s not fully ready.
Maybe this is more of a vent because it makes me really sad every time I think about it, she’s very sweet and it kills me.
Any advice on how to guide her through this?
