As a part of Gen Z, I feel like porn addiction and hookup culture have made finding genuine love impossible. There’s this weird obsession with getting with people just for sex and that’s all and I hate it. In my experience, I can’t even talk to a guy without them making it sexual or trying to get in my pants. This alongside the “talking stage” which I think is just a stupid way of having a pretend girlfriend without the commitment has made relationships almost impossible. Porn addiction hasn’t helped either because it’s led people to have unrealistic expectations for their partners, it’s all just too much. I’m just starting to think that I’ll find love in another lifetime, just not this one.
