Does stopping porn really help with me being more social?

I’ve been addicted to porn for like 4 years now, it became like a routine for me. I’m terribly awkward and silent in social places. I started to feel like it might be the issue, but also wanted to know if I stop porn will my mood get better or is it just a saying to get you stop porn?
