I met a very wonderful woman about a month ago and we hit it off very well. We went on 3 dates, but they said they don’t have romantic feelings towards me, which is a bummer, but I’m also very happy to have them as a friend. But now they’re far more energetic about teasing me, want to talk and see me more, and just more affectionate in general. Their language has also changed from being more formal to more casual and rather flirtatious. Is this normal for a woman in their mid 20s to do? If so, what should I make of it? I’m getting mixed signals and my stupid guy brain isn’t comprehending the situation very well.
Mind you I’ve been described as ‘having the energy of a naive golden retriever’, and it’s extremely obvious to most people I’m oblivious to others feelings towards me. I often say that if someone wants to express their feelings towards me, they need to wack me over the head with a neon sign that says what they’re feeling.
