Previously when we travelled together in January, we were at a souvenir store when I saw that they sold couple keychains with cute animals that had magnetic hands together. Wanted to get one for us but he said no so I didn’t get it.
Fast forward to yesterday, a female friend of his went to Japan and told him that she got him a keychain that matched hers (a matching couple keychain basically). I was upset and felt angry and petty. So I said sarcastically that ‘oh you are okay with getting a piece of the matching keychain with her but when I asked you to get one with me, you said no’ to which he replied that he didn’t ask her to get it for him; that he has no say but to accept it. She told him that it’s a matchy keychain as besties.
It’s not that I’m insecure about his friendship with her or that I don’t trust him. It’s the fact that I specifically told him that I wanted to get a pair of couple keychains and yet he refused but is accepting it from his female friend??? Like????
He got upset at me getting upset over this and said that I keep ‘trying to argue with him’
Is it wrong for me to be upset??
