As a 24f, I always fantasized about those friendships you see on TV where people just pop on over to someone’s house after work just to hang out but I haven’t found people who are seeking those kinds of relationships. To be fair, I haven’t exactly put in a lot of social effort this past year to find said people but still. I think I would be more motivated to socialize if I felt more confident there were people out there who feel the same way I do. It’s like nowadays everyone claims they’re “so busy” which may be true for some folks but cmon now. Aren’t most of us just seeking connections?
Edit: I love the conversation that’s happening rn! Just to be clear, I’m also never one to just show up randomly unannounced to anyone’s house unless it’s my family. I did once have an acquaintance do this a few years back and I was pissed, but to be fair, I didn’t like them like that. I’ll respect others boundaries BUT, a random call/text for plans couldn’t hurt? This is for the people who NEED things planned 1-3 weeks in advance. If anyone feels comfortable sharing, **what are you so busy with?**
