Recently, one of the women who I’m seeing sent a sex tape that we had made to some of her friends on GTA Online without asking me first. My face isn’t in it, or anything else that could be used to figure out who I am. It’s just her giving me a blowjob, filmed on my phone—basically a POV video. She didn’t tell them who I am. (I only know the she shared it because she casually told me about it afterwards.)
I actually wouldn’t have minded her sharing it with her online gaming friends; it’s just that I wish she had asked me first. These are total strangers, living far away, and they have no way of knowing who I am. It’s not as if this is going to get me into a bad situation.
If she had asked me to let her share the video, I wouldn’t have seen any reason to say no. If anything, I like that they saw it. It’s just that she really should have gotten my consent.
I told her that it hurt me when she shared the video without first asking my permission. She apologized and promised not to do it again. I trust her to ask me next time before sending her internet friends any more homemade porn that I’m in. It sounds like she didn’t intentionally do it behind my back because she thought I might say no—it’s just that it genuinely didn’t occur to her that she needed to ask me.
Is this something I should forget about and move on from, or should would it be wise for me to stop hooking up with her? I’m still into her and I like her as a person in general, but I’m wondering if this means that she isn’t trustworthy enough to be my friend with benefits.
