What does this act even mean?? F23 meeting someone over a month.

Hello dear redditors.

I met a new friend (23M) in my university, as I am doing a 1 semester exchange in another country. He is always nice with me and can speak my native language, which made me bond more with him. I met him more or less in the beginning of the month and texted just a bit.

The last week, we did some things together, we went to a Cafe and had a great talk and went for around 3hours in an amusement park nearby. At the end (9pm) we decided to ask for a pizza in our dorm and he ended up sleeping with me in my bed. I decided to let him sleep there as we would have classes next day and it was pretty late (3am). The thing is, we talked a lot in bed, but nothing happened. He woke up at 7am for his class and said goodbye.

After that, we did not really talk much and today(4 days after sleeping in my dorm) he asked me if I was on campus, since he wanted to speak with me.

I met him, we had a 15 min chit chat, and then he decided to leave. But before leaving, he told me he wanted to check something. He kept looking at my face, got close to me and careless my face with his fingers. Afterwards he mentioned, “well, I guess I really was incorrect” , thanked, smiled and decided to go back home.

So now I am back and asking myself… what the heck was that??? I do not feel that he was intrusive, but I do not understand the act, neither what it is supposing to mean, and what he thought when saying “guess I was incorrect”.

Can someone please explain what this mean?

Also is this a red flag? I am really confused.
