So I [19M] have known this girl [19F] since the beginning of the semester when I first met her. It is important to know first off that we are in college and she has a boyfriend outside of college. We have been spending time with each other a lot since we met each other and I ended up just recently started catching feeling for her. I really like her for her bubbly personality, and the fact that she is basically an angel in comparison to me, she is so nice and I really envy that. Here is where things get weird, and I do not know I may just be superstitious but this kind of messes with my head. We do not really flirt or anything like that but she has done some things that has kinda led me to think that me and her are not just friends. I have no idea if her boyfriend knows this but we basically hang out for long periods of time by ourselves. We usually go out to dinner, I invite her to things that I am doing and she does the same, we are neighbors and we always are in each others dorm, and this is all without one mention of her boyfriend. In fact I kind of knew that she had a boyfriend I just think that it is kind of interesting that she has never mentioned him to me, that is unless if it is negative. We are hanging out one time and she brings up a story about her boyfriend apparently cheating on her, when she says this she turns over and is staring me in the eyes and she kinda puts on a weird smile, and I do the same thing back and play it off. That situation has not left my mind since, but here is where it gets stranger, she is still with her boyfriend. It just does not make sense why she would choose to lie about that, I thought of the possibility that maybe she is trying to get me to do stuff for her, but that was turned down when I found out that she still pays for stuff, invites me to stuff, etc. Another weird thing is the fact that I asked her to a formal and she is on bored on going, even insinuating it was gonna be that kind of date. She then waits for a little bit after I tell her the date and she all the sudden cant go. I have plenty more examples of some situations that are like this but I just have to know if I am getting it twisted and if I should ask her out at one point. I really think that she is really special and I would hate to mess it all up.
