Just a silly little thing. Yesterday I left for a two-day trip for work, and my husband and I decided to get on Zoom to hang out in the evening after dinner. As we started to get sleepy, neither of wanted to get off the call, so we both just put our laptops on our nightstands and fell asleep “next to” each other. I woke up several times throughout the night (I rarely sleep well away from home plus I developed some sort of stomach bug), and it felt so comforting to look over and see his sleeping silhouette in our bedroom.
It reminded me of our 17-year-old niece who was on FaceTime with her new boyfriend for like 8 hours straight when she came to visit us. Only, we’ve been married for ten years. Goodness gracious I love this man—all I want to do is hang out with him 😅

So sweet! I did that for months when my now-husband and I were still long-distance. It really is comforting to be able to wake up and see each other’s sleepy smiles first thing in the morning.
I’ve learned to tolerate FaceTime sometimes, but I love it when my wife and I are apart. Talk & Text isn’t enough after a few days.
Back in the day, over 20 years ago…we lived in separate states. We would go to sleep while connected through Yahoo Chat voice…lol
My husband and I did this every night for about a year when we were long distance. It was really fun, even if we hated being so far away. Now we do EVERYTHING together all the time.

Love this! My parents have been married for almost 30 years and my mom goes to see her parents a few times a year so they would FaceTime each other at bedtime. Sometimes my sibling and I would catch them asleep with the phone still on 🥰❤️

Great to hear, when I have to travel out off states for work, after dinner, I go to my hotel room and FaceTime with my wife, usually until bedtime. I really hate being apart.
