This one’s got me scratching my head. I (20s M) am apparently terrible at picking up hints, and it’s messing with my dating life (or lack thereof). Here’s the deal:
**Girlfriend From Work (Let’s call her A):**
* We work together, been friendly for almost a year.
* **Super touchy:** Leans in close, brushes against me.
* **Fidgety & Shy:** Avoids eye contact during deep conversations (4 hours?!) but smiles and waves a lot.
* **Sister Intel:** Her sister (also a coworker) starts talking to me right after A and I chat.
* **Near Miss Kisses?** Twice, she got REALLY close while talking.
**Chipotle Conundrum (Let’s call her Y):**
* We chat at Chipotle, friendly vibes, but I don’t flirt.
* **Roommate’s Radar:** My roommate thinks she’s into me, but…
* **Subtlety Fails:** I tried hinting at a date, she changed the subject fast.
* **Still Friendly, But…** We chat every visit, but I don’t get a “date” vibe.
**The Dilemma:**
I’m leaving my job soon, so should I ask A out before I go? Is she just super friendly, or is there something more? As for Y, should I keep trying or move on? My confidence is a bit bruised after the Chipotle incident.
