I’m from the US and I have been in Poland for about 2 weeks now and I love everything about it for the most part except for the fact that smoking seems to be super common here. In the states pretty much everywhere it is frowned upon and is really considered trashy, even in bars and such. It used to be cool ten or 15 years ago but now it’s not.
I was so surprised by the amount of people smoking cigarettes here. Is it cultural? I don’t get it. Even pretty girls, professional people, etc smoking on every corner, at restaurants, and pretty much everywhere. Honestly I hate the smell of cigarettes and even my airbnb smells like an ashtray.
