So for context me (f27 soon 28) and my boyfriend (m27) are together for 4 years now.
Since I was a teen all I see was broken relationships, I saw my parents divorce, grandparents, and most of my parents friends are also divorced. So for years I’ve been saying that I don’t wanna get married.
However, 2020 I went on vacations for a week and I met my current bf. He is from another country, we chat for a few months (4), and he left his house, quit his job, say bye to his family and friends and move to another country without knowing anyone or anything and came to live with me. We only had been together for a week… it’s sounds crazy saying this.
We started living together immediately, he doesn’t speak the language so he open his company and it’s going well, I have my job and my salary is also good. Being with him for 4 years made me change my opinion of marriage. And now … I really want to marry him!
We already talk about it, but he says he likes the things as they are. I understand that.
I don’t wanna a big big wedding. Just me him family and celebrate our love probably in my grandmother house, super simple.
He didn’t even ask, but does being married change the relationship?
I saw somewhere something like “a man knows after a few months if we wants to marry that person or not”.. like we already live together and do everything so what can change ? Does it change ? Sorry English is not my first language.
