My partner FaceTimed me last night and was catching me up on his day while he’s visiting family out of state. Every now and then I would give him a goofy face to be funny. He stayed talking about his mom and I made another funny face. He hung up on me and this was the dialogue in text:
Me: C’mon
Me: YOU literally told me to stop and then hung up. No time to even correct. That’s not fair
Him: There’s time and place for everything. I started telling you that I’m concerned about my mom that she’s going crazy and while I was telling you that, you were making faces
Him: I can’t deal with that right now on top of my finger throbbing because the painting fell on it
I’ll talk to you tomorrow
Me: You always say that (his mom talking about the universe) and it’s never serious. I didn’t know you were serious this time
Me: Ok well goodnight
*Next day*
Me: Happy anniversary of us dating
I guess I’m wondering if I screwed up that bad. Was he justified in shutting down and hanging up?
