I just received a parking fine from METPARKING for leaving the premises. I did leave the premises but don’t want to pay them £60 as a discounted payment.
The pictures they uploaded were only pics of my empty car and were taken by a human.
I must have gotten unlucky and there happened to be a warden who saw me leave.
I’m wondering if I can dispute it and claim that I was in the McDonalds. I would hope that they can’t be arsed to contact the McDonald’s for CCTV footage and/or the McDonald’s can’t be arsed to provide the footage of me being in the store. If they question it further and ask for receipt I could say someone else paid.
I am not willing to go to court if I haven’t got a good chance of winning. I don’t want to pay for admin charges either.
The terms say that if I fail my appeal and the appeal was submitted during the discounted period I would get another 14 days to pay the discounted rate.
Any thoughts of my chances of success?
