I’ve been dating my girlfriend for two months. We have already said I love you, spoke to eachothers families, I met all her friends and have discussed giving eachother keys to our apartments.

We are polar opposites personality wise. I am chill and a homebody and she is loud and likes to go out. It is exciting to be with someone so different but deep down we are both scared the difference is too extreme. To be fair neither of us is too extreme on the spectrum (for example I am very social and like to go out on occasion, I just don’t go out of my way)

We see eachother quite often, about 2-3 times a week. The emotions are very intense and we talk a lot about our future together and potentially having kids and getting married. It feels like we’ve known eachother for years even though it’s only been two months.

The issue is when we have disagreements or arguments, they also get very extreme. We have this expectation of eachother as if weve known eachother for so long but it isn’t the case. We are realizing we don’t really know eachother that well. It makes me think if we are both in love with an idea or actually with eachother.

I feel like we don’t know about big chunks of eachothers lives and it scares me that we are getting so close without fully knowing eachother. Is this a sign it won’t work out? Or do we just need to slow it down a bit?
