TLDR: During a family holiday in Vietnam, we shared a hotel room. After returning from the beach, I went to take a bath.
My brother insisted on showering simultaneously, but I asked for 10 minutes alone. He refused, and I responded with slurs (I called him a sister fucker).He entered the bathroom, threatening me while I was naked in the tub. I held his hand to keep him away, but he hit my head twice and tried to drown me twice. I managed to escape but couldn’t leave the area. I was naked the entire time and he cornered me until the last minute.
I was able to push him back, go to my parents room and informed them. I said some pretty awful things after. I regret my words but can’t forgive his actions. His aggression could have seriously harmed me.
For context, we’ve had a loving relationship in general and have never fought before. But he has a history of anger issues considering some of the physical altercations he has had with other people.
