Something like 6 year old me got taught the insanity that is the English language with the help of some PBS shows like Arthur and Worldgirl even though I was not actually born in the country that made them and our two countries linguistically refuse to work out that the game you play with your feet and a ball is called football.
Apparently, 4 year olds on this side of the Atlantic Ocean during the pandemic got taught how to speak English with an English accent because of Peppa Pig and started having English accents themselves.
I got the idea for this post after I did okay on an A2 test for French, which is at least progress given I live nowhere close to France, or even Quebec.
