We’ve been together for 9 months now, but just yesterday we had gone for a friend’s birthday party. As soon as we returned home he asked me if i noticed something in the party. I was confused and said no, and then he told “everyone calls their boyfriends special names”. I didn’t know whether to laugh or say nothing at all. We had this conversation earlier, and i told him i find it cringe to call him those weird names. I told him to do the same for me. I told him that it didn’t really matter what the other’s did, and that we didn’t need to follow what they did. He kept muttering about it the whole time and the next morning, he has even resorted to not talking to me. I told him that his behaviour was childish and foolish and he called me selfish.
Its been 2 days know. We have minimal conversations. I was done with him too, so i gave up. I tried to ask him to do that as well, but he barely shook his head. I don’t know what to do. I feel like he’s being a brat about it.
He has in the past tried to call me sweet names and i told him to stop. He then made weird sounds with my names. He expects me to do the same.
tldr: bf expects me to call him weird ass lovey dovey names and when i don’t he starts acting childish and isn’t talking to me.
