I (21f) have been on four dates with a really cool guy. He’s very attractive, smart, and hardworking. He migrated to America a year ago and before our first date he told me his English isn’t good. That wasn’t a dealbreaker. We can carry conversation but sometimes we have to break out the Google translate app. My mom can be judgemental. If we get serious I feel that my mom would judge him for this and discourage me from dating him…if we get serious should I tell my mom about the little language barrier before meeting?

I wouldn’t tell your mom about the language barrier. If she is as judgmental as you make it seem, then I have a feeling of you tell her there’s a language barrier that she’ll already have a prejudgment before you even meet him
