I hate ‘talking stages’ – I (F22) am dating people the same age, if not older than me and it seems like all they want to do is just text all day, every single day, despite not even having met them.

Letting them know I’m not particularly interested in texting constantly (it stresses me out to have to think of replies that often), but saying I’m keen to plan some dates/check in once a day or every few days just drives them away or they take that as me subtextually communicating that I’m not interested in talking to them, period – which is not the case.

It feels like no one is interested in actually meeting, just having general dry chit chat over text and using that as a way to gauge our connection. I feel like we’d have nothing left to talk about on our dates if we were just confined to texting. Anyone else experience this?
