Can I get Vaginosis from being fingered by my boyfriend

I (19 f) have a boyfriend (26 m) I went to the OBGYN a few days ago to get the 5 year arm birth control implant. Every time I go to the OB I ALWAYS get STD/STI testing done regardless if I am having sex or not. I got a phone call and they told me I have vaginosis. My boyfriend and I have only really made things “official” for about a couple of weeks now, but we’ve been sleeping with each other for about 2 months now. He said he hasn’t been sleeping with anyone but me for the past couple months. (I’ve only been sleeping with him too) He got STD/STI testing about a week before we hooked up and he was clean. Ive been reading things online saying that vaginosis can happen if someone doesn’t wash their hands before fingering a girl. He works in a warehouse and wears gross gloves all night long while he works. So I’m assuming that I got it from him not washing his hands. I’m also assuming that I got it from him trying to finger my ass as a joke while he’s playing with me down there. (Anal scares me) all my other test results came back negative besides the vaginosis which the lady on the phone told me it’s a very mild case and she proscribed me an antibiotic. Anyone have the same experience?
