Ignoring the usual phone/key/wallet, I carry a leatherman and it has saved me a ton of time and effort having. Oh no this screw is loose, welp screwdriver in my pocket. I love it.
I've tried carrying a pen and such but I never found one that really fit great or I felt worthwhile taking with me.
