Friend seems to randomly of started ghosting me and I genuinely can’t figure out why.

I recently reconnected with an old friend online and we talked non stop for two weeks and he kept telling me how I seem to be different and how he really likes me and almost nonstop compliments. And now he seems to of very suddenly stopped speaking to me, at first he said he was just busy and lost track of time which I said was fine but now he keeps talking to other people he knows who are in the same communities as me and just blanks me. I message him asking if he wants to hang out and he doesent reply until like 6 hours later just to say sorry I was busy with someone else and then not even really answer the question anyway. Nothing happend between us as far as I'm aware so I really Don understand this. Any advice?
