I have anxiety surrounding asking for help, and not doing so is affecting my schoolwork and grades. My course is too specific for a lot of internet resources, so my teachers and fellow students are a min source of information for understanding everything. Could someone dispel my beliefs around asking for help and give realistic advice for learning to ask for help more?

I also struggle with what to ask, as I often don’t have questions in the moment and only when tackling assignments am I at a loss for what to do.

  1. It’s good to acknowledge that you need help in relation to academic studies when you do. I’ve needed help in maths aswell for a long time and I’ve just really took action about it, wish I had done it earlier.

You should look & apply for education centres outside of your school/college who offer such courses or maybe if you can’t afford that check if your college/school offers after school classes, maybe ask them if it’s possible to offer support after school.

As for a reason you shouldn’t worry about that this much, shouldn’t be complicated just saying that you are not doing well with the current amount of support supplied and need some more support.
