Fuck. This. Friday.
First, I have an appointment in another city. I check the train, good. Then I arrive at the platform (maybe 15 minutes?) and bam! Train cancelled last minute. Absolute chaos in the station. I rush back home, take the car, drive in the pouring rain, get sour faces because I was late. Great.
And then there’s the rush against time! Nobody works on Friday afternoons, but those people who don’t work on Friday afternoon somehow expect you to have this and that ready by Monday. Which you can forget about, especially if “this and that” relies on you getting hold of other people and getting them to do stuff.
