Do you think the parliamentary system can work in a U.S. state government?

American Here. Im not saying any states should adopt it and i’m not saying it’s superior to current systems. usually i dont like the parliamentary system but i feel like it can work sometimes. perhaps in states with small populations. so do you think a U.S. state or commonwealth or territory could adopt this? why or why not?
