Well, we have quite the famous convicted felon in the news today, but I wanted to think about the lawyers who actually make a legal system work. As in, how do you become one, how much would you pay to learn to be a lawyer, how easily could you lose the ability to be a lawyer if you misbehave, how much do they cost to work on a case, how well does the system of giving lawyers to clients in cases who are poor work (in many countries it is a legal duty of the court to give a defendant in a criminal case a lawyer if they can't pay for one themselves). Is "big law" more common or are small practitioners more common?

And how important are the lawyers in the case vs the court itself like the judges and lay judges or juries or both?
