What is it about some people that they’re well liked everywhere they go?

I have noticed that some guys are just instantly loved by the crowd and become popular wherever they go, versus i could be in that same group/place for months or years and still be a nobody to everyone. I see how well liked and respected they are and don't get what do they do differently, they can easily make friends, have people do favours for them happily, and whatever they say gets taken seriously. I have seen guys that are completely new to some class or group but in like 4-5 days they become the life of the group, everyone flocks to that person and invites him to hangout
