So my boyfriend’s mom lost her baby when he was quite young, but he still grieves the situation pretty hard. He’ll close up on the “day it all happened” and gets moody around then. I always feel callous because I say that he is grieving the situation harder and longer than I personally feel healthy. I think that his mom must have grieved so hard for the situation that it affected him too much because I understand a parent being upset for a long time but it’s a sibling he never even knew or met….

Am I being callous or do you think it’s weird that he’s been grieving this for over a decade. He says it’s normal grief but I normally brush it off because I feel it’s not healthy
